Half of this vintage was barrel fermented and aged for 11 months in new French oak barrels. We stirred the “lees” in barrel once a month, adding richness and texture as the year progressed. The remaining portion was cold fermented and aged in stainless steel. Encouraging malolactic fermentation in barrel added additional character, and in the glass this wine is brimming with crisp pear, pineapple and citrus flavors, and a core of bright acidity that carries on the long, toasty finish. Enjoy over the next 1-3 years.
