Katy Turner
Collector’s Circle Coordinator

Katy Turner is a California native, having grown up in Marin County where her father owned the local newspaper in her hometown of San Anselmo. Katy went on to attend college in Reno, NV where she met her husband and started a family. Katy and her family moved to Sonoma County in 1991 and she was soon introduced to the wine industry. Her first job was working for Carmenet Winery, owned by the Chalone Wine Group. At the time, she knew very little about the wine industry except that she personally loved to drink Cabernets. Katy had the opportunity to learn on the job as she entertained shareholders and sold wine among other duties.

In 2001 Katy joined the hospitality team at Rodney Strong Vineyards. She worked in the tasting room and gave tours as well as helping out at special events. In June of 2004, Katy was promoted to Collector's Circle Coordinator. She is responsible for managing all aspects of the wine club. She enjoys getting to know the members and helping them make the most of their membership.

Katy resides in Santa Rosa with her three children. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children, hiking, gardening, reading and drinking good wine.

Strong as the 13th bonded winery in the county. Today, the winery is privately owned by the Klein family; a fourth generation California agricultural family.

Winemaking team, Rick Sayre and Gary Patzwald are crafting fine Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, and a meritage wine, Symmetry.
